Strikes by airport workers are still ongoing in Europe. This led to the cancellation of hundreds of flights during the height of the tourist season.
In particular, strikes are planned in Italy, Ireland and Great Britain in the near future.
For example, in Ireland, back in June, the pilots of Ireland’s flagship air carrier, Aer Lingus, started an indefinite strike. They note that about 400 flights had to be canceled because of this.
